Meghan will focus her keynote speech on long exposure capture, and in particular her use of long exposure enabling filters. She will explain how she judges the length of exposure required, her choice to use a particular filter or not, all in relation to her pursuit of artistic, sometimes surreal, imagery.
Meghan's Bio
A love of capturing New Zealand's stunning landscapes prompted Meghan to give up a corporate accountant role to become a full-time landscape photographer and educator. Although only getting serious about photography 8 years ago, growing up with a dad who shared his love of hiking and the NZ outdoors, Meghan always had the desire to capture unique moments of light and weather conditions in a way that translates to more than a mere snapshot record.
Meghan hosts photography workshops around New Zealand, and she is passionate about helping others improve their photography skills whilst experiencing unique and amazing locations and wildlife. She loves to break down photography concepts making them simple and easy to understand for her clients, and as a Sony NZ ambassador, she also runs local networking events designed to enrich the NZ photography community.
For the last two summers, Meghan has spent a month in Antarctica working as a photography instructor and expedition photographer. When not away teaching photography, Meghan spends her time at her home in Cambridge, Waikato supporting her two teenage boys in their various school and football endeavours.
