Focus Stacking - Why, when and how.
Presented by Annette Johnston
The practice of focus stacking is an art form in and of itself. Particularly useful in macro photography the challenge of having more ‘in focus’ can be met with this technique.
The workshop will cover examples from Annette’s catalogue, a discussion on when focus stacking might be useful as well as hands on practice using flowers as the medium. Annette will also show how she post processes the images in both Photoshop and Helicon Focus.
Participants will need a camera and a macro lens (or lens with macro capabilities) and a sturdy tripod. Additionally, a cable release or camera knowledge on how to use the 2 second timer.
