Halswell Quarry is a unique 60.4 hectare park, with an unusual combination of recreational walks, historic sites and botanical collections. Important historic buildings, parkland of short walks and wetland ponds. Halswell Quarry also features six sister city gardens and a Canterbury botanical collection.

There will also be some dogs who also are willing to model for pet photography.

Suitable for: all fitness and mobility levels

• All access: Park land, native bush, gardens and sculptures, ponds, public off lead dog area.
• Most access: Natural wetland (may need to push through some dirty vegetation), base of the quarry requires a short uphill walk to a flat grass area
• Basic fitness - walk around the quarry site has some steep up/down hill on rough tracks.
